SALARY:
The salary range for this position is $49,096.
79 to $80,436.
91 for Schedule A, and $49,096.
79 to $76,415.
06 for Schedule B.
For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range.
For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.
Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A.
Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

Under the supervision of the Ombudsman the selected candidate will assist litigants with questions, processes and procedures relating to litigation.
Will work with all divisions to respond to inquiries regarding status of cases.
Position requires knowledge of processes, procedures, and legal information in order to ask probing questions and provide the court user with appropriate options.
Assist in the development of manuals, guides, audio-visual aids and/or other materials.
Provide general assistance to the vicinage volunteer program coordinators; address concerns provided on the Court User Satisfaction Surveys.
In addition, the candidate will assist in monitoring and evaluating program performance in accordance with established policies/procedures; understand how to use quantitative or qualitative research to better serve court users; maintain order of the office, update information materials available in the office and courthouse as needed.
Perform other related duties as required.
Community Outreach/Programs:
Coordinate with all divisions and community organizations.
Prepare outreach program materials including press releases, correspondence, and mass mailings.
Work with community groups and other entities to identify programing needs, promote and attend outreach events.
Conduct presentations for community organizations, public forums and/or professional groups.
Coordinate and participate in multiple school and/or courthouse related student activities, in person and/or virtually.
In the absence of the Ombudsman, attend EEO advisory committee and community group meetings on behalf of the office.
Knowledge of Automated Court systems (eCourts, FACTS, CAPS) is preferred.
REMOTE WORK:
The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings.
To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
Example of Duties This position requires the applicant to have the willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and to keep current with judicial mandates.
Demonstration of sound judgment, problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in the absence of the Ombudsman.
Provide exceptional customer service while assisting both external and internal customers at the Vicinage's Law Library; maintaining and procuring the Vicinage's legal materials; explain Judiciary policies and procedures to court users that access the Law Library Qualifications Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Substitution:
Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits.
An associate's degree and two years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
