Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Administrative Assistant for the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.
Reporting to the Senior Program Coordinator at Rutgers Cooperative Extension - New Jersey Agricultural Experiment Station's Office of Continuing Professional Education (NJAES-OCPE), the primary purpose of this position provides support to the Program Coordinators for the administration and coordination of open market courses, grant training, other courses and events as needed.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Participates in day-to-day operations of programs; provides pre-, day of, and post-support for remote and in-person courses and events.
Schedules appointments, arranges and coordinates logistics for meetings, courses and events.
Manages and updates courses and materials in Canvas/online learning platform.
Researches venues for appropriateness of space, services and budget; processes instructor fees; submits invoices and expenses for payment; serves as liaison within and outside of the unit to ensure materials, equipment and sites are prepared and confirmed.
Prepares and reviews records, reports, and documents for courses including applications for recertification credits for various agencies.
Serves as liaison within university departments as well as outside vendors and instructors.
Works under direction supervision of the Senior Program Coordinator with specific instructions on routine and semi-routine work and within established work parameters for OCPE.
The incumbent should be knowledgeable about and support OCPE's programs as well as the mission, vision, role and goals of OCPE, the Experiment Station, Cooperative Extension and the university.
